Brief break at Barton-on-Humber. On 11th March 1978 the Branch Line Society ran the “South Humberside” railtour taking a DMU around some freight lines in the Doncaster area, then on to New Holland Pier then Louth. Here 50632 + 59387 + 59246 + 50643 / 56394 + 50155 are seen at the end of the line at Barton-on-Humber, 11th March 1978, with the sidings not having seen any use for many years. Murray Liston.

The usual scramble to get a photo of the railtour at New Holland Pier. In platform 3 at Stratford-upon-Avon sometime in 1987 a 3 car Class 108 numbered T902 (presumably 53933 + 59387 + 51566) is on the front of the Midline Bubble which is conveniently positioned on the platform's curve so that its unique colour scheme is visible. Peter Tandy.

The unique Midline class 121 single car 55033 was on the back of 3 car class 108 T902 (presumably 51566 + 59387 + 53933) leaving Stratford-upon-Avon on 16 May 1987. Class 108s were not commonplace here, especially those with a cab-mounted headlight and even less so working with a bubble unit in the consist.
