08889 backs onto withdrawn DMUs (53518, 53500, 53355 + 53812) and the 31 that had brought them to Derby on 30 August 1990.
The description with the negative notes they came from Newton Heath, the vehicles had been stored at Crewe Carriage Shed Sidings. They would all end up at Vic Berry's. Stuart Mackay Collection.
1974
Class 104 DMU set EP474 departs from Bleasby station on the Nottingham - Lincoln line in mid 1974. The 5 on the headcode seems to be a converted 6. Michael Mensing.
29th April 1962
The 5.35pm Birmingham New Street - Rugby departs from Kenilworth on 29 April 1962. This was a Sunday, it had arrived ex-Berkswell and reversed and is now heading to Coventry. It is a good view of the rear of M50499 showing the original footsteps and the board above the gangway. Michael Mensing.
13th July 1977
Class 104 DMUs on Buxton depot on 13 July 1977. The locos include 40029. David Mant.
5th July 1981
This slide was annotated as 12:05 Heysham to York near Moss, 1980. The eight-car formation contains a Class 104 twin, a three car with Class 104 DMCL and TCL white stripers with a Class 108 DMBS, and another three-car which seems to be Class 105 power cars with a Class 104 centre car.
