These were published in trade magazines. The first shows Sc50340 and presumably Sc56095. The second shows two sets on a Llandudno-Blaenau North service, the same image was also used in the Summer 1958 DMU ABC (page 50) credited to K Field.

An underframe, sitting upside down, and the 'centre castings' which sit on the bogie (and are held in place by a 'centre pin' through the hole) can be seen. It also shows the longitudinal corrugated steel sections forming the floor, also know as 'key sheeting'.

Completed Vehicles

The company allocated a 'photo no.' to the two batch one vehicle types - 5409 for the DTCL and 5410 for the DMBS. The order book above noted that no images were taken of batch two vehicles.

The first two exterior image feature Scottish Region vehicles, new in May 1957. The interior images are undated, but are presumed to be taken at the same time since they appeared in the railway press soon after.

These four matted images have a date of October 1957 (which matches the delivery dates of M50358 + M56113) on the information boards and were presumably taken on GRC&W premises.
