This bridge just to the south of Bromsgrove station was a popular spot for photography until the overhead wires went up to allow the lines to Bromsgrove station and Redditch to be electrified. The train is Tyseley's class 117 unit T309 (51372 + 59490 + 51414) approaching the station on 7 July 1988 with a Worcester to Birmingham New Street service. Peter Tandy.
DMU's new & old were stood in Croft Street Sidings adjacent to Preston Power Box on August 28th 1988. Left to right, a shiny new Metro-Cammell built Class 156 Sprinter 156430, with Blue/Grey liveried BRCW Class 104 M53534 stood alongside, and on the right, a Pressed Steel built Class 117, with DMBS M51372 nearest the camera. A Tyseley allocated Class 117 Suburban 3-Car DMU formed of cars 51372, 59490 & 51414 (T309) was stabled in Croft Street Sidings at Preston on August 28th 1988. Never a common sight in the Preston area, several of these West Midlands sets were on temporary loan to Newton Heath during this period when problems with the Class 142 fleet was causing stock shortages. The bogie under the van end of Pressed Steel DMBS W51373. The three inch numbers dates this to late 1960s, the text to the right is 'Load 35 cwts evenly distributed'. It would be a Reading vehicle in this period. Graham Clark.

Class 117 and 101 DMU's at Moor street on the 22nd November 1975. The 117 appears to be L424 making the DMBS closest 51373. The mk11 and mk1 coaches were part of an exhibition train as l remember.
