On board Pressed Steel Class 117 W51368 (Class 117/2) as part of 3-car suburban dmu Set No B430 (later No.T305, then No.117 305) with W59520 (Class 176) & W51410 (Class 117/1) in BR (WR) chocolate & cream livery and all yellow front end specially repainted for the GWR 150th Anniversary Celebrations winding it's way along the Avon Gorge on a Portishead - Bristol (Temple Meads) special, 27/05/85. With the GWR 150 celebrations of 1985 in mind 1st generation DMU No.s W51368, W59520 and W51410 emerge from Bristol Bath Road in GWR Chocolate & Cream livery, on the 30th June 1985. Sadly BR, in their infinite wisdom, announced the closure of Swindon Works within the same year and completely marred any festivities including the planned works open day. Paul Bettany.
