Class 101 Met-Cam E53233+E53255 at Stratford on the 30th March 1987. Both vehicles are displaying a "Red Star Parcels" sticker on their sides. Kevin Law.

The driver of E53233 looks on as a group of fitters attempt to cure an ailment with the unit's engine at York on the night of 28th January 1988. This Metro-Cammell two-car set had been converted to a parcels unit, and a pile of mail sacks can be seen towards the rear of the saloon. Looks odd without the seats! Syd Young.

Viewed through various bits of railway clutter, a Metro-Cammell Class 101 set with E50235 leading passes Gilberdyke junction on it's way to Hull on 5th April 1983. The semaphore arms were at this time located on short posts at the end of the Gilberdyke up platform. These signalled trains travelling along the up relief line and were replaced with more conventional signals when the quadruple lines were removed in the late 1980s. Syd Young.
