A class 116 Derby built Birmingham bound DMU grumbles into Rowley Regis station. Today some aspects of the scene are unchanged, the large flat canopies are there as is the tunnel under the booking office and Station Road. In the distance things have changed, whereas today we have sylvan woodland here there are sidings serving a large oil depot and factories, a signal box controls the movements and mechanical signalling is unchallenged. Circa 1976. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith.
