Class 116 DMU set 116 387 (formed 53090 + 59330 + 53881) is seen at East Kilbride station having arrived with the 10.00 from Glasgow Central on 09.07.1985. This line survived as a branch as it formed part of the Glasgow suburban network but was once a through route to Hamilton. The line that once extended beyond where the buffer stops are used to go through to Hunthill Junction on the Hamilton & Strathaven line.
