A Class 108 DMU, DMBS E50623 and the DTCL is presumably E56194, in Huddersfield station on Friday 17 April 1981. David Russon.
A DMU at Skipton on 9 August 1981 with E50623 closest. John Law.
Sunday 27/06/1971 at Whitby, and the main station platforms are filled with a total of eight DMU vehicles of classes 101 and 108. The Class 101 DTC on the left is from the small batch of twelve sets the that had the mounting plate for the top marker light (but no top light). The leading Class 108 vehicle on the right is E50623, which was allocated to 52J / South Gosforth, Newcastle, at the time. It carries Tyne Rail graphics on the cab front and also the body side, and these incorporated unofficial vehicle names, which, in the case of E50623, was 'Cushie Butterfield'. A six-car Class 108 DMU formation, all in the white/blue stripe refurbished livery, heads away from the camera at Flamborough on 8 July 1980. The two-car closest running with the four-car was recorded as E56194 + E50623. Stuart Mackay Collection.
