circa early / mid-1970s
Three Class 108 twins head away from Grange-over-Sands circa early or mid-1970. Preston is on the destination blind, this is probably a service from Barrow. A Class sits in the sidings with a ballast train. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A Blue Square Derby Lightweight twin in Northampton Castle station in mid-June 1961 with a Bedford service. There is a van at the rear, presumably attached. This image appeared in the 1964 Ian Allan DMU ABC. Michael Mensing.

8th July 1993
With Turbo units increasingly common on Thames Valley lines, DMUs were in decline, but L263 (missing the L on the cab front) passes Aynho at 11.05 on the 8th July 1993 probably working from Oxford to Banbury? The vehicles are Class 108 DTSL 54495 paired with Class 104 DMBS 53540. Dave Gommersall.
