5.  Conveyance of Parcels Traffic

(a)  West Cumberland scheme

Mr.Gould reported that agreement had now been reached for the diesel parcels vans to convey a tail load of 32 tons instead of 25 tons, thereby increasing the utility of the vans and the whole aspect of their operation was being reconsidered.

(b)  Manchester Part 2 Scheme

Two vans authorised;  delivery June, 1959.

(c)  St.Pancras Suburban Scheme

Two vans authorised;  delivery June; 1959.

652.  RAIL BUSES FOR RURAL AREAS

Banbury - Bletchley Service

Noted that staff consultation now complete and no serious difficulty.  Submission to T.U.C.C. proceeding as quickly as possible.

653.  INTER CITY SERVICES

Liverpool, Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and Hull Scheme (L.N.W. route)

Noted report now received from North Eastern Region.  Agreed copies be sent to Departments concerned for observations before submission to L.M. Area Board.  North Eastern Region to submit final report to Commission.
