Seen crossing over from the south to north approach tracks before entering Waverley one afternoon in August 1987 is this hybrid set using Swindon Cross Country power cars 53699 and 53658 sandwiching Metro Cammell centre car 59571, originally part of a Rolls Royce powered headcode set. Swindon class 120 Cross Country set 534 (53686 + 59281 + 53732) are seen rasping through Princes Street Gardens with a service for Kirkcaldy late one afternoon in August 1987/ Murray Liston.
From Strathclyde to Fife. Taken from what is now a tram track, we see a Strathclyde red liveried 3 car DMU accelerating away from Haymarket with a Fife service one evening in August 1987. This comprises most of set 107436 (presumably 51997 + 59784), but the rear car has been substituted with a Metro Cammell vehicle. Murray Liston.
Taken in the winter of late 1987, we see a BRCW twin DMU stopping at Habrough on a service from Barton-upon-Humber to Cleethorpes. Sadly almost everything in this photo has now gone - station buildings, the GCR signalbox and gates, the DMU, and the footbridge I'm standing on to take the shot. Now left with two basic staggered platforms either side of an automated crossing. Murray Liston.

This is a crop of an image (30214) showing the full three-car, to get a better view of centre car W59478. Taken at Cleobury Mortimer circa June 1960. The vehicle is believed to have been delivered to Laira with the power cars but by the end of the year it was allocated to Southall and working in-between Pressed Steel power cars. BRCW.
This is likely a Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon image, it shows one of their new suburban triple sets at Cleobury Mortimer formed of 51311 + 59478 + 51326 which would be delivered to Plymouth Laira in June 1960. BRCW.
