A two-car GRC&W Cross-Country DMU labelled set 501 at Bedwyn. Undated, but the plain blue livery with small yellow panel dates it as the late 1960s. The vehicles are probably 51089 + 51061. Graham Clark.
Cross-Country GRC&W set 501 at Bedwyn in the late 1960s, the vehicles are probably 51089 + 51061. The marker light adjacent to the tail lamp is missing it's lens, perhaps been caught by a tail lamp being put on / off? Graham Clark.
A two-car GRC&W Cross-Country set at Bedwyn circa 1967. At the time Reading had two two-car sets allocated, 500 and 501, formed from 51053/61 and 51081/89, so this could be 51089 + 51061 if the higher set number contained the higher numbered vehicles. The two sets were transferred to the unlikely location of Inverness in May 1968. Graham Clark.
Maybe a 119? A 3-car and a 2-car seen at Saltash on the line from Bere Alston, date unknown. Steve Davies Collection.
A Class 119 DMS in Swindon Works in the summer of 1967. Sadly the last digit of the W5108x number is obscured. Although the cab door is open its clear that it has been painted yellow, as have the wipers. Underneath the BIS box is in orange and the radiator in silver. David Faircloth.

A Class 119 set in an early variation of rail blue livery, and unusual as most of the Class went from green straight into blue / grey. Taken at 3.32pm on the 4th June 1967 just north of Dorchester West and believed to be a relief for a loco-hauled Westbury - Weymouth that passed 20 minutes earlier. Michael Mensing.

Class 119 Birmingham New Street in May 1968. I had just dropped a lens for my camera onto the platform and was shooting a lot of pictures to finish the film so that I could send it away and see what effect the accident had had on the image quality - quite bad as it turned out. Curly42.
A Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon (Class 119) DMU passes the little halt at Gogarth on Saturday 6 July 1968, working to Wolverhampton Low Level, presumably from Barmouth. A Class 119 set in Stourbridge Junction station in 1969. This was before rationalisation of the canopies and construction of a massive car park. The Junction looks a little 'rundown'. Today it has one of the best services in the Midlands and the car park invariably full. Stephen Burdett.
