Derby class 107 3 car unit 107439 is the leading unit forming the 11.15 service to Glasgow Central waiting to leave the rather grand station at Ayr on 7th April 1984. The leading vehicle, sporting an Ayr depot sticker, is DMBS Sc52000. A second class 107 unit completes the rake whilst Metro Cammell unit 101341 (presumably 51536 + 59557 + 51469) has recently arrived. Bruce Galloway.

Taken after major changes made to Dundee's railway yards but the sidings seen here are still in existence and in use. A Strathclyde liveried class 107 unit 107440 Sc52033 + Sc59806 + Sc52007 far from home approaches Tapton Junction, Chesterfield on the 13th September 1986 on an Ayr-Derby RTC working. It was sent to the RTC for investigation when technical problems were found with the power car axles of the class. Kevin Law.
