105 DMU

circa late 1970s

Taken at Prudhoe circa late 1970s, the unit had been put into the old coal siding opposite the signal box for some reason. However, the driver managed to hit the buffer stop and push it into the road. Unit was recovered the next morning. The vehicle seems to be E56136. Tim Gornall.

105 DMU

circa 1979

A Cravens Class 105 DMU in New Holland Pier station, Lincolnshire, circa 1979. Seen awaiting departure for Barton-upon-Humber, the service probably originated from Cleethorpes. No date with the original slide, but with the other tracks having been lifted and the front end of the DMU having been rationalised, it likely to be between 1979 to June 1981 when the pier station closed upon opening of the Humber Bridge. Graeme Phillips Collection.

105 DMU

Unknown Date

Cravens Class 105 DMBS 50394 awaits it's fate at Derby Litchurch Lane. It has the relatively rare combination of the LM Region headcode box and the stump for mounting a marker light on the roof dome, though no light was ever fitted, unique to the M50390 - 94 batch. It was withdrawn in the mid 1970s after a collision/derailment at Watford Junction that also wiped out M56147 (thanks to Eddie Knorn for info). Undated. Ian Francis.
