An eight-car DMU formation takes the Market Harborough line at Kingsthorpe (Northampton) with a "Cobblers" excursion to Leicester on 2 October 1965. A Park Royal set leads followed by two GRC&W twins and possibly another Park Royal on the rear. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A Park Royal DMU seen at Bentley Heath, between Knowle & Dorridge and Widney Manor, with the 5.35pm from Lapworth on 17 September 1966. Michaal recorded it as a service to Wolverhampton Low Level but Birmingham is on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.

Parcels at Penkridge. Several boxes have been ejected from the guards compartment of the Stoke-on-Trent bound Park Royal DMU. The lady porter is Mrs Harris (nee Cooper) she is heading purposefully towards them, obviously intending to carry them to join the pile she has assembled on the facing platform. Architecturally 'functional' is the best that can be said for Penkridge station but the appearance is clean and tidy, no doubt the work of the lady in the picture, the Stationmaster was Mr Humphreys. 30th August 1967
Birkenhead (Woodside) was near Woodside Pier on the Mersey. The station was a mini Paddington with lovely curved overall roof, it was closed on 5th November 1967, this photograph was taken 30th August 1967. This picture, which has been published but in brutally cropped form, features a Park Royal 103/145 dmu discharging a healthy number of passengers, and a Met-Camm on the left. On 16th May 1970 a Park Royal class 103 DMU forming a Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno Junction service passes the abandoned Llechwedd exchange sidings at the foot of the narrow gauge railway incline and is about to enter Ffestiniog Tunnel, at 2 miles and 333 yards long. Gordon Edgar.
