Vehicle: 79075
A row of withdrawn Met-Camm 79xxx series vehicles at Tilbury Riverside on 8 November 1969. Closest is E79075 + E79291, behind is a DTSL in blue with yellow panel, then a green DMBS thought to be E79073, with a blue DTSL. Note how most have a painted patch next to the numbers. This was thought to been as they were withdrawn in October 1968, they would have the text COND and the condemned symbol painted on, they were reinstated a few weeks later and would have had this painted over? They were withdrawn again in January 1969. None looked to have been stripped of parts, they stayed in this location until at least January 1971, without the COND text being added again. Stuart Mackay Collection.
