Dudley Port low level looks in a parlous state as a gleaming green 2 car Park Royal diesel multiple unit draws in with a train to Walsall. On the skyline is the large LNWR signal box and the fence of Dudley Port High level station gaunt against the light grey sky. In the grassland to the right a few corrugated iron buildings lie rusting and the abutments of the closed railway only support weeds. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith, 2 August 1963.
