Class 127 DMU at Upper Holloway

×

Details

Displaced from the London Division of the Midland Main Line by Class 317 EMUs upon completion of the BedPan electrification in 1982 (Although to be fair an ASLEF dispute over OMO delayed their demise for a while longer ... ) some Class 127 DMUs were reduced to a 3 car formation and used on the newly introduced Gospel Oak to Barking service.

Here, with M51645 leading, the 1015 Gospel Oak to Barking service slows for the station stop at Upper Holloway as it passes the signal box on 15th August 1983.
