The long-gone gasholders to the east of Reading station dominate this view of class 119 L584 (51070 + 59429 + 51098) climbing the 1/100 gradient to the Waterloo platforms with a train from Gatwick Airport on 24 August 1985. The bank looks a lot steeper in this shot than it actually is because of my use of a 200mm lens to make a more impactful image.
