A Class 114 DMU (vehicles 50009/56009) at Skegness having arrived as the 08.44 from Nottingham on 28 October 1977. Both of these vehicles were new to 40A Lincoln on 20 November 1956, and ran as a unit for many years. 50009 was withdrawn while still at Lincoln on 29 June 1988, and was scrapped by Mayer Newman, of Snailwell. It's erstwhile partner, 56009, was transferred to Tyseley, and then to Chester, and was withdrawn on 24 May 1991. 56009 was scrapped at MC Metals, Glasgow.
