A Class 114 DMU at Sheffield in the 1980s. Graeme Phillips Collection.
Mainly associated with Lincolnshire, some of the Derby built heavyweight units were subsequently moved away. Inevitably in its quest for non-standardisation, Tyseley received some. Here, trailer 54027 leads a Corby service into Kettering on 7/1/88. The car park to the right was the site of the steam shed. Mike Dean.
Class 114 DMU set T227 (54027 + 53019) sits in Doncaster station on November 11th, 1988. They had been transferred to Tyseley from Lincoln in October 1987. Rex Holt.
Class 114 DMU set T027 (54027 + 53019) seen stabled in Tyseley depot on the 27th January 1990. Hamish Stevenson.
53019 leads 54027 as set T227 with T319 (51129, 59756, 51149) and T303 (51406, 59516, 51364) on The Institution of Mining Engineers Notts & North Derbyshire Railtour near Welbeck Colliery on a wet and overcast 23/Apr/1989. Robert Chilton.
