Class 124 DMU at Neville Hill depot

30th July 1961

Swindon built Trans-Pennine six-car DMU is refulled at Neville Hill after a day spent crossing the Pennines between Hull and Liverpool, the rear vehicle is E51955 with 1M80 visible in the headcode box which would have been it's last westbound train. Keith Long.

A class 124, by now reduced to four cars just (51955/51969/59765/51964), approaches Brough on Christmas Eve 1976 on a TransPennine working, the 11.47 Hull to Liverpool Lime St. Leonard Rogers.

E51955, Hull Paragon, 29 August 79. The third vehicle appears to have a yellow end and be in refurbished livery - and so not a Swindon vehicle, this could be two Trans-Pennine vehicles attached to another set. Syd Young.
