16/05/59 - A number of odd Class 126 vehicle had arrived in Scotland from Swindon and in some cases have been marshalled into Edinburgh-Glasgow sets. Five vehicles, including 51012, 51013, 59402 and 59402, were in Lugton goods yard on 16th May 1959.

8th April 1981

8 over at the clubhouse. Watched by a couple of local lads, an early evening Glasgow to Ayr service slows to a halt at Barassie Junction. The 8 car rake is led by Swindon class 126 DMS Sc51012. The golf club car park seems well filled, its a fine spring evening after all. 8th April 1981. Bruce Galloway.

51012 awaits its fate after withdrawal. The boarded up windows were a sign it was an asbestos contaminated vehicle. At Falkland Yard in August 1982. Andrew McConnell.
