mid-1980s

Reading DMU set L422 (comprising vehicles 51402/59512/51360) entering Sonning cutting from the Twyford direction viewed from Duffield Road bridge in the mid 1980s. Curly42.

Class 117 DMU at Kensal Green

3rd March 1986

Stretching its legs on the main line as it runs past the carriage washing roads at Kensal Green is RG depot's Class 117 unit L422, formed of W51360 + W59512 + W51402. It will shortly pass the sheds of Old Oak Common whilst running ECS from Paddington to Southall depot (?) after working an up morning local service. Nigel Mack.
