These are images from the Swindon Works collection. The NRM now holds the negatives for these, and prints can be ordered from them where the negatives still exist. All the image details are taken from the Works photograph registers or reference prints, also at the NRM.

Motors, trailers & diesel cars (5CR series)
These were all taken on the 16th February 1963 showing new vehicles.

The two second class saloons in DMBSL 52090. Each seated just sixteen with two seating bays on each side of the aisle, the (open) sliding door divided smoking from non-smoking.

Restaurant cars (5CH series)
Normally DMU buffet cars were included in the 5C/5CR series with the other vehicles, this class was the exception. All were of 59828 and are undated.

Accidents to engines, coaches, wagons, trains (5AB series)
This series of images contained five with Class 123 vehicles, all taken on 14/6/65. The cause of the side swipe is unknown.
