750.  GENERAL MATTERS OF POLICY

1.  Programme of Diesel Multiple Unit Operation

(a)  Position of schemes still to be submitted

Schedule of progress dated 18th November, 1959 was reviewed in the light of advices from the Director of Traffic Services that target dates would not, in some cases, be achieved.  The position in regard to those cases was noted as follows :-

Birmingham - Redditch.  Proposals now in circulation for approval by officers concerned.

Leicester - Nuneaton (T.V.).  Submission waiting financial details.

Manchester Part 6.  Accountant awaiting estimates from C.C.E. re redundant assests at Brunswick M.P.D.  Mr.Martin will expedite.

Manchester Part 5.  Fuelling at Kirkdale and possibility of pipeline from Bank Hall under consideration.  Messrs.E.H.Baker and Martin would expedite.
