Destination Blinds

Carlisle

A 1960s blind with Waverley Route destinations on it. It would seem that it appeared on the area's Derby Lightweight sets around 1966 (the mis-spelling of Whitehaven seems not to have occurred before this date) and the same blind could be seen on Kingmoor allocated Class 108s into the early 1970s. Into the later 1970s this blind disappeared in favour of a new updated one with a slightly more uniform typeface and Whitehaven was once again correctly spelled.

It is on linen, black background with white lettering, all capitals and all destinations on one line.
