Hereford Station, 05/75, on the GWR/LNWR Joint "Welsh Marches Line" (or Border Route) between Newport and Shrewsbury. The station was also a junction with the Great Western lines to Three Cocks Junction (and hence Brecon) (now closed), Worcester (and eventually Paddington) and Ross-on-Wye (now closed). In the platforms show a Crewe - Cardiff Class 120 dmu and a Hereford - Paddington express. Hugh Llewelyn.

An Aberdeen - Inverness service between Kennethmont and Gartley at 12:40 on Monday 19 May 1975. Formed of three three-car Class 120s, the middle set contains two brake vehicles (a DMBC and DMBF). Three of the brake vehicles in the train are DMBF conversions, and all four brake vehicles have tablet catchers.
