Back in 1988 and an Network South East liveried Class 117 DMU leads a blue and grey Class 119 southwards between Warwick and Leamington Spa. It was not usual to see these units on this route. Bob Belcher.
In 1988 class 117 unit L417 heads away from Didcot towards Reading. DMS 51396 was unique in that the cab front was replaced with that from a withdrawn class 116 car - hence the lack of a four character headcode box. 51396 spent the last few years of its life based at Bletchley for North London and Bedford line services.
