The warmth of the signalbox at Stratford-upon-Avon was welcome on Friday 26 October 1985 and this picture was taken from the window as 6 coach 108 (52058 + 59388 + 51943) + 104 DMU (53429 + 59195 + 53507) shunted from platform 1 to the Cold Store Siding alongside platform 3 where it spent the rest of the day before returning after dark to Manchester Piccadilly. Class 108 Derby 3-car DMU with DMCL 52058 leading a 6 car formation for Llandudno at Chester 26-7-86-ish. In the summer of 1986, BX495 also contained 59388 + 51943. The rear set has a Class 104 centre car, a number of Buxton formations were made up of Class 108-104-108 thus. On Tour With the Class 13 Army.

This was one of the Auto-gear sets - as noted by the small text on the lower left of the cab front. On the same date the set is recorded as being transferred from Chester to Tyseley.
