A Class 114 DMBS and a Class 105 DTSL on Lincoln depot. The slide process date was April 1987. The Cravens shows signs that it was a former Stratford vehicle (the headlamp brackets) and was also once allocated to Norwich (the set number location on the cab window), which identifies it as 54421, withdrawn from Lincoln in February 1987. This is a view of Lincoln Central station looking westwards from Pelham Bridge. A Class 114 dmu leaves the station in the direction of Market Rasen, while Class 08 no. 08102 stands on one of the through roads. On the right can be seen 31203 and 37106 in the bay platforms. A view of East Holmes yard and signalbox in May 1987. A number of withdrawn DMUs are in storage in the sidings following the introduction of Sprinters in the region. There seems to be 14 Class 105 vehicle behind the box and a 114 to the left. The 35-lever Great Northern box dates from 1873. Andrew Walker.

Looking east from Lincoln's Pelham Bridge on 1st June 1987, Class 31s nos. 31202 and 31206 head for Immingham with empty bulk oil tanks pass the 'Stourton Saloon' 975539 + 975349 stabled on Lincoln depot which also contained many Class 114s. Andrew Walker.

This BRCW-built unit dates from 1962 and comprises a 'motor composite' no. E52085 in front and a 'motor brake composite' no. 52069 behind. Two Rolls-Royce engines power each vehicle. At the time of this picture, DMUs like this were thought of as quite 'old', but today we travel on Sprinters that are older...! Andrew Walker.

Keith has noted Class 105 Departmental DMU TDB977453, DMUs 53026, 54026, 54039 and 53005 in this view of Lincoln depot on 12 July 1987. In the platform on the left are the two departmental 100s: 975539 + 975349 and 975637 + 975664; it looks like the Cravens is next in that line, presumably its partner is 977454. Keith Miller.
