Sc51782 (other power car is 51794) waits to depart Oban at 6.50pm with a return excursion to Glasgow via Callander on 17/05/60. The outward journey was via Arrochar, a portion had been detached at Crianlarich for Fort William, the passengers would travel by steamers between the two locations to do a circular tour. A Swindon Cross-Country DMU in Oban station, date unknown. This was likely one of the summer 'tourist' services from Glasgow Queen Street that ran via Loch Lomond (rather than Callander as the service trains did). Note the sideboard. Paul Redmond.

Two former Buxton allocated 'White Roofed' class 104 DMU power cars, which now form 104325 'The Mexican Bean' and allocated to Eastfield Depot as their SC53434 and SC53424, for services on the 42 mile Crianlarich to Oban branch for the summer tourist traffic, they worked three summer seasons for ScotRail and the Highlands & Islands Tourist Board being taken out of use in the autumn of 1987. 1st June 1985.
