17th June 1962

A BR Derby 4-car DMU passing Northwood station with the 10.05am Aylesbury to Marylebone train on 17 June 1962. This was the opening day of the Metropolitan Line modernisation between Harrow and Watford South Junction and the new station platforms on the right came into service on this day. Work has already begun on demolishing the old platform canopy on the left. John Cosford.

27th July 1963

A 4-car DMU (BR Derby/1960 on) passing Northwood station with an up train from Aylesbury to London Marylebone, 27 July 1963. John Cosford.

11th March 1964

Derby 4-car suburban DMU passing under the Highfield Road bridge south of Northwood with an up train to Marylebone - possibly the 12:15 from Nottingham - on 11 March 1964. John Cosford.

21st July 1990

A DMU near to Northwood with a service for Marylebone on 21 July 1990. It is formed of two Class 108 DTC / 115 DMBS pairings, with Class 108 54495 leading. Lewis Bevan.
