The 2.50pm Birmingham Snow Hill - Cardiff is unusually formed of a Derby suburban triple set - possibly due to the shortage of a Cross-Country DMU - seen approaching Colwall Tunnel on 25 September 1960. DMS W50109 leads. Michael Mensing.
Three Cross-Country DMU, two Swindon-built with a GRCW in between, are seen at Colwall heading to Birmingham Snow Hill in September 1959. The service could be the 07:20 Hereford to Snow Hill which was booked as a 9 car Cross Country, with the rear set only going as far as Kidderminster. Stuart Mackay Collection.
