The 3.15pm Newport-Brynmawr service is seen south of Bournville Halt on 23 April 1962 (Easter Monday). It is formed of a Derby suburban triple DMU, the DMS being W50127. Passenger services here would we withdrawn at the end of the month, and the W50127 would be transferred to Tyseley. Michael Mensing.

A mixed suburban rake near Bournville (Birmingham). The Class 122 seems to be standing in for a power car in a Class 116 set, and seems to be SC55000. It was transferred from Haymarket to Tyseley (via a brief spell at Longsight) in September 1984 which dates this to late 1984 / or early 1985. Ian Docwra.
One feature of many of the old 1st generation DMUs now sadly lacking with the new stock was the forward view, or as in this case, rearward view. Here the view out of the rear of class 116 no. 51143 is seen just after passing Lifford West Junction and just before arriving at Bournville on the way from Redditch to Birmingham New Street, 26/Jul/1991. Robert Chilton.
