Vehicle: 51402 Set: T302
By 1989 Sprinters were replacing DMUs on most services but on the 3rd May 1989 T302 (51402 and presumably 59512 + 51360) was on the 14.02 Birmingham New Street to Cardiff Central via WSH and is seen leaving Abbotswood Junction at 15.10, somewhat late! Possibly due to a failed 156xxx? Dave Gommersall.

Set: 901001
Former class 101 DMU was converted into a Network Rail Ultrasonic Testing Unit as class 901 and numbered 901001. It passes Abbotswood Junction at 19.25 on the 29th May 2007 working 4Z08, the 16.47 Derby RTC to BTM. The usual formation was 977391 and 977392 but added in the middle was 999602 at this time. Vehicle: 53053 Set: T324
T324 (presumably 53053 + 59672 + 53101) leaves Abbotswood Junction at 15.07 on the 17th January 1989 working the 14.02 Birmingham to Cardiff Central via Worcester Shrub Hill. It is believed a new class 155 was booked for these workings but they were having serious problems after going into service. Dave Gommersall.

Class 116/108 hybrid C397 (51136 and presumably 52059) leaves Abbotswood Junction at about 13.00 on the 2nd May 1990 working 2V16, the 12.02 Birmingham New Street to Cardiff Central. Dave Gommersall.

Vehicle: 51133 Set: C396
A Class 116/108/116 formation, all vehicles with brake vans, leaves Abbotswood Junction at about 13.25 on the 16th May 1990 working the 13.13 Worcester Foregate Street to Taunton. Closest is 51133, carrying set number C396 although it has now changed sets, the other vehicles are presumably 59248 and 51136. Dave Gommersall.

Class 116 DMU set C394 (51139 + 51152) leaves Abbotswood Junction at 13.40 on the 7th September 1990 working the 13.30 Worcester Shrub Hill to Taunton. Dave Gommersall.

Vehicle: 51140 Set: C395
After heavy morning rain Class 116 set C395 (51140 and presumably 51153) leaves Abbotswood Junction at 13.30 on the 7th March 1991 working the 13.15 Worcester Foregate Street to Taunton. The water escape drain was apparently blocked causing the flooding on the line and on both sides of it! Dave Gommersall.

In GWR chocolate and cream livery, DMU 117305 (51368 + 59520 + 51410) nears Abbotswood Junction at 14.30 on the 4th December 1992 with 1M12, the 12.50 Cardiff to Nottingham. Dave Gommersall.
