A Class 103 DMU at Holyhead on 23/08/1978. The Class 103s had a career spanning some 25 years, which is surprising considering they were considered non-standard in terms of their bodywork construction, which gave trouble in later years. They tended to be concentrated on services along the border counties between England and Wales, as well as Wales.
