Wolverhampton Low Level on 10th April 1964, the clock says it is 5.43pm and all that is present for Peter to photograph is W51086 in a Gloucester Cross Country unit, the future class 119. The front blind is set for Didcot so if Peter is smart he can nip over the footbridge for a quick return to Snow Hill. Not unusual in those carefree days some parcels have been dumped on the platform either from a train or waiting for collection by one. "Tripped over them? should 'a watched where you were walking then!" In the distance through the smoky haze the line curves away towards Dunstall Park and the magic of Stafford Road engine shed, in that haze the signal box and a water crane can be seen.
