The Rail Society of Scotland Tour of 18 October 1969 has reached Whifflet Upper on the Caley line to Airdrie. The station platform spanned both the line from Motherwell to Coatbridge Central and Whifflet to Sunnyside line. The DMU has SC51467 closest. The R. B. Tennent & Sons Ltd works is in the background right.
