Class 108 DMU at Balgreen

×

Details

A seven-car DMU formation heads away from the City of Edinburgh on the Fife lines on 17 April 1967. A Blue Square Derby Lightweight DMCL leads, standing in for a Met-Camm vehicle in a three-car set. Behind it are two twins, a Met-Camm and a Gloucester, all cars in green. Another Gloucester set can be seen in the distance below Edinburgh Castle, in blue livery with yellow panel, passing Haymarket depot to its left. It may have come off the Corstorphine Branch on the left, on which the platform of Balgreen station can be seen (and the photographer will be on the other platform).
