The 5.00pm Edinburgh Princes Street - Glasgow Central makes its way through the Dalry area of the Edinburgh suburbs on 20 August 1965 formed of a Derby unit. The photographer is standing on Angle Park Terrace, nowadays the stone wall on the right remains, houses are built where the DMU is, and the W Approach Road enters the former railway line where the signal is, the road uses the track bed as far as the south end of the former Princes St station.
