Class 121 DMU at Kings Sutton

Details

Before Network South-East found the B&Q paint counter Kings Sutton was a lovely little country station painted in delicate whites and greys, NSE changed that with a liberal coating of insensitive bright red and blue. The fact that "customers" still had to cross the running line at the platform end didn't matter, they could admire the gaudy paintwork from track level*

The passengers are crossing in front of their single car + 56287 trailer that had just called with the 12.20 Oxford - Banbury train, 25/09/1980.

*Kings Sutton does now have a much needed footbridge.
