Details

A three-car Class 101/110 Hybrid DMU formed of Class 101 Driving Cars M51808 & M51799 with a former Calder Valley Class 110 Centre Trailer Car, M59694, had just passed through Kirkham North Junction with a Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria service on September 3rd 1988. This was the period when due to ongoing problems with the Class 142 fleet, various combinations of surviving First Generation DMU's were cobbled together to keep services running.
