Class 101 unit 101685, made up of 53160/59539/53164. on a Blaenau Ffestiniog-Llandudno working at Llandudno Junction on 1 August 1997. This unit was built by Metropolitan-Cammell and dates from 1957/1957. 101685 spent its final few years in service in green livery, as seen here, and was one of the last 5 units withdrawn from service at Newton Heath on 24 December 2003. After withdrawal it was purchased for preservation and is now operational at the NYMR.
