In 1983 I went on a tour of all the mainline railways of Wales. Towards the end of the trip we found ourselves on the borders at Shrewsbury, and I took the opportunity of capturing this view of the southern end of the station when climbing the castle walls. In view is the impressive LNWR Seven Bridge Junction signal box and, stabled in the sidings, a Class 25 and a pair of 2-car DMU sets - Class 108 and Class 101.
