Derby Class 108 (LO612) M51937 & M52053 - Preston Station.

A close-up of Class 108 Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) M51937 stood in platform 2 at Preston awaiting departure with the 10.23 service to Ormskirk on August 15th 1992. The car had previously been allocated to Landore Depot at Swansea as part of set S937 (with Driving Trailer 52058) during the latter part of 1991, hence the Welsh Dragon emblem on the cab front. Following departmental use, the unit was withdrawn in 1993, but M51937 has survived into preservation and is now part of the two-car Class 108 DMU owned by the Poulton & Wyre Railway based on part of the former Fleetwood line.
