Complete with a Network South East logo on the bodyside, a Class 104 formed of cars 53522 & 53541 was stood at Lostock Hall with the 11.05 Blackpool South to Colne Service on October 24th 1987. The station here opened in 1984, replacing an earlier station situated on the other side of the bridge, which had closed in 1969.
