Minus its centre trailer coach, Swindon built Cross-Country Class 120 DMU with car M53661 trailing, awaits business to be concluded at Bamber Bridge whilst working a Preston to Colne service on July 24th 1984. At the time the Class 120s were normally on Manchester-Blackpool services and the appearance of one working to East Lancashire was most unusual.
