Class 104 53523 leads a Preston to Ormskirk service along the former double track mainline at Pages Crossing, Ulnes Walton, just west of Midge Hall on the 11th September 1985. The white trackside building is an extended former crossing keepers cottage, an occupation crossing still serves farms on both sides of the railway here.
